About this place

The Alameda Apodaca is Cádiz’s balcony over the bay: a landscaped promenade with sea views, shady benches and a breeze that is welcome in summer. Its present design comes from the 1926-1927 remodelling by the architect Juan Talavera y Heredia.

From here you can see El Puerto de Santa María, the bay and, in the distance, the mountains. At sunset it fills with strollers.

It links with the Candelaria Bastion and Parque Genovés, forming one of the most pleasant walking routes in the city.
