About this place
The Candelaria Bastion is part of the sea defences that protected Cádiz for centuries. It stands beside the Alameda Apodaca, with the sea on one side and the gardens on the other.
Today it is a place for walking and exhibitions, and one of the best viewpoints towards the cathedral and the bay. It combines well with the Alameda and the nearby Parque Genovés.
